Youth Opportunities (6th-12th Grade)
Winter/Spring 2014 Calendar
Middle School Sunday School
Sundays, 10-10:50 a.m., Youth Wing Room 205
This class for 6th-7th graders will use re:form, Old and New Testament ancestors. Young people will learn about specific people of faith while finding connections in their own lives.
Sundays, 10-10:50 a.m., Youth Wing Room 204
This class is for students who have reached the eighth grade and would like to explore the opportunity to join the church. This class meets year-round to prepare students for the Confirmation process. Confirmation takes place in May of each year.
High School Sunday School
Sundays, 10-10:50 a.m., Youth Wing Room 203
The senior high class uses a study of the parallel Gospels to learn about Christ's life and teacings, and how to apply the Good News to their lives. Young people will be encouraged to look to Scripture and to our faith tradition in relevant, responsive ways.
Middle School Mania
Wednesdays, 5-7:30 p.m., Youth Wing
MSM has a new look and feel, including supper and fellowship. As part of our Wednesday Night Alive, the Middle Schoolers will eat at their designated table during our church-wide meal at 5 p.m. The cost for supper is $2 per youth. At 6 p.m., Middle Schoolers will meet in the youth wing for fun, fellowship, and faith building!
Youth Dinner & Fellowship (grades 6-12) - Sundays, 5-7:30 p.m., Fellowship Hall
High School Bible Study - Wednesdays, 6 p.m., Youth Wing
For those youth who want to dig deeper in their faith, join us for this in-depth Bible study. This fall, the youth will continue their study of the Old Testament. We would love to have the high schoolers eat dinner with the rest of the church at 5:00. Meals are $2 per youth.
High School Late Night - Twice a month, high schoolers are invited to stay late (until 8:30 p.m.) on Sunday evenings after youth group. On the second Sunday of each month, high school youth will paticipate in a Bible Study using ECHO the Story. On the fourth Sunday of the month, late night discussion will include guest speakers and topics that are important to the life of teens.
