New Member Class. Want to learn more about Faith Presbyterian Church? Join us on Sunday, October 8, for the new New Member Class. We'll meet in the Parlor immediately following worship. Pumpkin Patch Kickoff is Sunday, October 1, at 6 p.m. in Fellowship Hall with BBQ, a scarecrow decorating contest, and a pie baking contest! Cost for the meal is $4 for children/youth and $8 for adults, with a family maximum of $20. We need people to donate side items for the kickoff. We need double batches of mac-n-cheese, baked beans, and coleslaw slaw. Sign up on the bulletin board outside the Parlor. There are extra Boston Butts for sale for $30; to reserve yours, please email Shannon Guse,  .

The scarecrow contest categories are: Best Scarecrow Submitted by a Group, Most Humorous, Best Traditional, and Best in Show. Let Shannon know if you would like to reserve a scarecrow frame. Pie contest categories are: pumpkin, fruit, and wild card. Please do not bring pies that contain nuts. Pumpkins will be delivered to Faith on Wednesdays, October 4, 11 and 18, at 4 p.m. and we need folks of all ages to help move pumpkins from the truck to the Patch. Please bring a wheelbarrow or wagon, grubby clothes, and strong backs!

We need people to donate baked goods for sale at the Patch. If you would like to help with that, you can sign up either on the bulletin board or at the above link. 

The Patch will be open Mondays through Thursdays, 9:30 a.m. - 8 p.m., Fridays 9:30 a.m. - 9 p.m., Saturdays 9 a.m. - 9 p.m., and Sundays 12 noon - 8 p.m. Be sure and bring your friends to visit the Patch! 


Lunch Bunch for senior adults is Thursday, October 5, 11:30 a.m., at Indigo Bistro, 1690 Raymond Diehl Road. Please make your reservation with Jeanette Moore, 386-8514.


Spooky Movies in the Patch begin on Friday, October 6, at 7 p.m., and continue each October Friday, as follows: 
October 6It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown (G, 25 minutes), and Pete's Dragon (PG, 102 mins). Food trucks will be Smackin' Good Wings and Snotime Shaved Ice.
October 13: Thru the Mirror (G, 8 mins), and Bedknobs and Broomsticks (PG, 139 mins).  Foodtrucks: King Kuisine, Snotime Shaved Ice, Sweet Journey Desserts
October 20: Mater & The Ghostlight (G, 8 mins), and The BFG (PG, 117 mins).  Food trucks: Street Chefs and Lucy & Leo's Cupcakery.
October 27: The Worm Turns (G, 8 mins), and Goosebumps (PG, 103 mins). Foodtrucks: Smackin' Good Wings, Lucy & Leo's Cupcakery, and Sweet Journey Desserts.


Taize Prayer Service is Friday, October 13, at 6 p.m. in the Sanctuary. Invite a friend to this beautiful candlelit service!


Installation Service. You are invited to worship with Trinity Whitley on Sunday, October 15, at 4:30 in the sanctuary as she is officially installed as Faith's Associate Pastor. There will be a reception in the Parlor following the service.


Trunk or Treat is Friday, October 27, 5-7 p.m. at Faith. Bring your car, costume, and candy to give out to the children as they go from car trunk to car trunk. Hot dogs, snow cones, and drinks will be provided. After Trunk or Treat, plan to stay for Spooky Movies in the Patch


 Jubilee Sunday!  Sunday, October 29, will be a big day at Faith! We will celebrate Commitment Sunday during worship, bringing forward our pledges for 2018. Then after lunch, we'll celebrate Jubilee Sunday with a Fellowship Luncheon, complete with bounce houses, cupcake walk, games and more. This is a great Sunday to invite your friends to church! The main dish (bbq) will be provided, but please bring enough food to share with our guests according to the first letter of your last name: A-D dessert, E-N side dish, O-Z salad. Drop off your dish in Fellowship Hall before worship, where it can be kept cool or warm until lunch.
