September 25: Suicide & Mental Health, Part 1
The National Alliance on Mental Health recognizes the first week in October as Mental Health Awareness Week. When we take seriously the call to love our neighbor and love ourselves, then we must take a deeper look at mental health. We will engage with L.O.S.S. (Local Outreach to Survivors of Suicide) to hear personal stories and learn how we can help those struggling with suicide or who have lost someone to suicide.

Jesus called us to care for the lease of these. James tells us that true religion is to look after orphans. With these things in mind, we have chosen to learn more about children in foster care and how we might support them. We will look at the state of foster care in Florida adverse childhood experiences, Guardian Ad Litem, and hear from a personal experience panel.
December 4 & 11: Advent Book Study
Study of the book, Awaiting the Already by Magrey deVega, whih takes us on a tour through the Gospel narratives, showing us what parts of the Christmas story come from which Gospel, and helps us recognize that each Gospel writer invites us to encounter a fresh experience of the birth of Christ.
